Denise Jamieson, vice president for medical affairs and Tyrone D. Artz Dean of the Carver College of Medicine, will preside over the ceremony. Executive Vice President and Provost Kevin Kregel and Senior Associate Dean for Medical Education Christopher Cooper will give introductory remarks. Jane Miller, professor and director of the Master in Medical Education Program; David Asprey, associate dean for medical education and professional programs; Amal Shibli-Rahhal, associate dean of student affairs; and James Choi, assistant dean of student affairs, will be joined by Jamieson, Kregel, and Cooper in conferring degrees. Patricia Winokur, executive dean of the Carver College of Medicine, and Bradley Haws, chief executive officer of the clinical enterprise and associate vice president of UI Health Care, also will participate in the ceremony.

Chandler Brown, a Doctor of Medicine graduate from Marquette, Michigan, will be the student speaker. Katherine Harris, clinical professor of internal medicine, will provide the commencement address. Akansha Jain, a MD-PhD graduate from Fairfax, Virginia, and the 2025 recipient of the Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award, will administer the Physician’s Oath.
