The Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) at University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics is designed to offer a calm, shared space for people experiencing emotional or psychiatric emergencies. So when COVID-19 emerged in Iowa, nurse manager Heidi Robinson, RN, had to act quickly in order to keep it a safe place.
